HOLIDAY FOOD BOXES FOR ADVENT, CHRISTMAS & EPIPHANY
It’s a new wise tradition! The wise men came to the baby Jesus bearing gifts and didn't just buy them on their way, but planned and prepared. We celebrate the arrival of the wise men on Epiphany Sunday.
Let’s plan and prepare just as the wise men. Throughout the Advent and Christmas season as part of counting the days until Christmas and throughout the Christmas season, please place a can/box of non-perishable food in your Holiday Food Box. On January 8, bring your box(es) or bags of food to the church and place them at the alter.
Advent calendars are available with symbols and bible verses to help as you reflect upon the incredible gift we all received over 2000 years ago. Each day read the Bible verse and then reflect upon the symbol on the calendar before placing the food item in the box.
Collections will support our Abundant Harvest pantry and also be shared with UMC ministries in Indianapolis.
SPONSOR A FAMILY FROM GREENBRIAR ELEMENTARY
Abundant Harvest will again this Christmas season sponsor a family from Greenbriar Elementary School.
